The Advantages Of Different Modes Of Transportation

As far as I’m concerned, in the present day, transportation has been played a vital part in the daily activities of our society. The reason for this is their useful properties. In this writing, we are going to consider the matter of advantages of different modes of transportation in land, water and air.
To begin with, I want to take consideration on the advantages of varied means of transportation on the land. These means help people to move from place to place both on the ground and underground. They often include cars, motorcycles, and bicycle and so forth. However, in some developed countries like Japan, US, they can also include subway. Each kind of them has its own advantages. Traveling by car gives you the feeling of comfort and safety. For instance, in the severe weather, sitting in a car can help you stay dry and warm instead of moving in the rain, scorching weather or even in the snow. In addition it is much safer to be in a car, especially at night, than having to walk down along on the street to get to a bus stop. Besides, moving by motorcycle has its strong sides since it can run much faster than bicycles and as far as cars though it is smaller in size. However, bicycles, in some countries today like China, are the most popular vehicle. China is sometimes called the Kingdom of Bicycle for its largest number of bicycle rider with million ones made each year. People often ride bicycles to go to work, shopping, schools or something like that because they are not expensive. Most of all, they don’t cause air-pollution, in contrast, they do good for health. Subway, in some developed countries, is popular with its speed since it can run hundreds of kilometers per hour underground. For those advantages, you may have to take time to decide which one is suitable for you when traveling.

Looking at the world map, we can clearly see that three quarters of our planet’s surface is the ocean, so how can people move or carry things from coast to coast, continent to continent? The answer is Boats. Boat is the common name of many different types of transport across the seas. Each type is also used for its purposes. For example, a large boat that is used for carrying passengers or goods by sea is ship, or in formal English, a vessel. A ship that carries goods from one place to another is a freighter or cargo ship and one that is used for carrying large a mount of petrol, oil, etc. is a tanker. A boat that is used for catching fish is a fishing boat and there also are a special type of fishing boat which pulls a long net through the sea to catch fish is a trawler. What’s about lifeboat? Do you know it? People use it for two purposes. These are, first, to rescue people who are in danger of the sea and second, to escape if the ship is going to sink. In some countries just like ours, ferry is popular. For instance, in Vietnam, we have to ferry in Cat Lai, Rach Mieu…It is a sort of boat that carries people, vehicles, and goods across the river or across a narrow part of the sea. All above I have just told you are useful, right? However, the boat I’m interested in most is gondola even though it does not exist in my nation. It is a long boat with a flat bottom and high parts at each ends, used for passengers who want to go sightseeing on canal in Venice, Italia. It looks beautiful and poetic, too.

Lastly, traveling by air, its first advantage that people may think of is it’s particularly fast. We can say, plane is one of the top fastest means of transportation since it can fly with great speed. For instance, it takes only ten hours or a little more than that to travel from Paris’s airport to New York’s instead of many days when traveling by sea. In addition, sitting on a plane gives people the exciting feeling of flying in the sky so that they can across clouds or observe everything from above. They have opportunity to look the overall picture of the land below. I believe it is extremely beautiful view. For the purpose of moving, helicopter is also a kind. However, usually, helicopter is used in the case of emergency. For example, in case of conflagration, helicopter can be used to bring water or sands in order to get the fire under control, or to rescue people. So why don’t people use anything else but helicopters in the case? You may ask. As a matter of fact, helicopter is a sort of aircraft that can fly straight up from the ground and can also stay in one position in the air. Besides, helicopters can also be used for the purposes of military affairs. And I assure that many of you have heard of seaplane. It is a plane that can take off from and land on water. It is really popular in Canada. Coming to Canada, tourists from all over the world will have change to sit on a seaplane to travel from one side to another one of the city, and certainly, over the sea. This is a strange and typical way of sightseeing in this wonderful country.
In conclusion, it may be confirmed that transportation has many different types in land, water and air. Each one has its advantages for helping human life easier and more vivid.
